"Avatar: Fire and Ash" Promises a Fiery Return to Pandora

Pixar is set to launch audiences into the cosmos with Elio, its 28th animated feature, which promises to be a heartfelt journey filled with interstellar wonders. Directed by Adrian Molina in his solo directorial debut, the film follows 11-year-old Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab), an imaginative and introverted boy who unexpectedly finds himself beamed up to an alien world. Mistaken as Earth’s official ambassador, Elio must navigate strange beings and bizarre customs as he represents humanity to an entire alien civilization.
Starring America Ferrera as Elio’s supportive mother and featuring voices from Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett, Elio builds on Molina’s work with Pixar classics like Coco and Toy Story 4, blending emotional storytelling with Pixar’s signature humor. Following the success of Elemental (2023), this out-of-this-world tale will challenge Elio to overcome his insecurities and discover what it means to belong. Elio promises an inspiring cosmic adventure for all ages, exploring the beauty of individuality, courage, and the vast universe beyond.
